Married
I think I was born to be married. I remember back a number of years, looking forward to the day/s that I would be married....and now that I am, I can honestly say that it was always in the cards that I should be married. Don't get me wrong, there are hard days - hard weeks - hard months........but it's worth it! It's all worth it. Sharing your life with someone is the most rewarding thing (besides your relationship with God) in the world. Shawn and I were talking this weekend about how stress free we used to be before we sold our townhouse and started to travel to Placerville all the time. Now that we are about 3 weeks out from moving, we are looking forward again to the time that we will be living a bit more stress free. Before living in two places I thought I knew what stress was.....boy was I wrong. I now understand the mental and physical toll stress takes on a body. I can't wait for these days to be over with. In less than a month we will be enjoying ourselves in our house finally. No more apartment living and all that it implies. We spent this weekend up at the house all alone, and it was nice. Shawn hooked up the direct tv, we lit a fire and hung out all weekend (that is, after the car crash - but I will save that for another time - - - no one was hurt, just a stupid minor accident). I can't wait for next month when we will be up there all the time....no more traveling back and forth, no more packing on Thursday nights just to drive for 3 hours in the middle of the night to get to our house. Soon it will all be over and we will be able to exhale. My husband is a blessing!!! Takes care of me, relentlessly works on the house, and has a heart of pure gold. I was meant to share the stressful and stress free times with someone - and that someone is my wonderful husband.

Name Change.....again!
Chaotic Living!!! I have finally changed my name - although I am sure it's going to change once my life clams down a bit. Shawn and I currently live in a pretty chaotic world at this point. We are moving in a few weeks to a whole new town.....life as I currently know it is going to change quite a bit. This is ok because I need a bit of a change, but I have a feeling it's going to be drastic. So, for the time being, my new blog name is chaotic.
Thanksgiving is tomorrow - exciting!!! We are heading up to P-ville tonight and then Reno (more specifically Fernley) tomorrow morning for Thanksgiving with the fam! Should be fun. We get to pick up some things my mom is giving us like a vacuum, chandelier and some other assorted things. I hope the shopping on Friday is good. Shawn and I need to furnish our bedroom and are hoping for a great deal on area rugs (for the whole house), a new bed (platform with a head board hopefully), a couple of night stands and maybe a dresser. JC Penny is having a bed sale right now - I just hope it's a good sale and that we can find a really good deal on a bed that I love. I did find one that I liked, but of course the husband didn't like it too much. We shall see what happens.....my goal is to find a good deal. I don't like spending money - and I especially HATE spending needless money on something I know I can get on sale. Hopefully the shopping on Friday will be good. :)
Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Eventful Weekend
In addition to Olivia coming into the world which we are sooooo excited about - we got almost nothing done on the house.....and, now I am sick. I have been taking Zicam in hopes that it will make me feel better, but we shall see. Right now I feel like a truck ran over my head and feel like I can sleep for a year. But alas, I need to go to work tomorrow - YUCK!!!!! Hopefully I will feel better soon.

Announcing Olivia Noelle Chandler 8 pounds 14 ounces
My sister-in-law went into labor this morning around 3am. She is at a hospital in West Sacramento right now, but hasn't given birth yet. I have been so incredibly excited about my new niece arriving - to the point of annoying Shawn's family. I can't wait until she is born! When I have time to get some pics up I will be sure to post them.
Julie (my sister-in-law), as of a couple hours ago, was dilated about 7-8 centimeters. Not quite ready for pushing yet - but really close. Please keep her in your prayers. She had a C-section during her last birth and doesn't want to have another on. Please pray that she has the baby naturally and quickly. Like I said, as soon as I get some pics I will be sure to post them! Uuuggghhhhhhhhh I am sooooooo excited!!!! I can't wait to meet Olivia!
UPDATE: Olivia Noelle Chandler was born on November 9th at 11:06pm. Both mom and baby are doing well. Julie was able to deliver naturally. Mom, Dad, sister and baby are now at home resting! She is the sweetest baby ever. I held her for about a half hour and she slept the whole time. In fact, we were at the hospital for over two hours and Olivia only cried once when the pediatrician was examining her. What a little blessing!

My Name is Changing
More when we get back from our walk... I have been back from our walk for about 28 hours now - but don't have time to post right now. What the name change pertains to is the blog name here. I am trying to think of something insightful, yet not too obvious. I am having a hard time thinking of something cool - but alas - I should have something by the end of the weekend. :)

The house is almost ours
We have had renters in our house virtually since we purchased the house. They were supposed to move out on November 4th, however, they are not moved out. Shawn and I said, when they moved in, if they needed a bit of extra time we would allow them to live there. We have set the deadline for this week. So, by the weekend, they will have to be completely out of the house. I am pretty excited about this since we need to redo a lot of stuff and the only way we are going to be able to do that is if the house is empty.
Upon emptying a room of the house (the master bedroom), we discovered that there are interesting scratches on our newly refinished hardwood floor. In the contract (yes, we made Shawn's brother and friend sign a contract - more on that at another time - there is a reason for it, but I don't want to get into that now) it stated that they were required to return the house to the condition in which they moved in. That means that the floor was perfect when they moved in, so it's going to be perfect when they move out. (They wanted the floor redone before they moved in and we busted out butts to get it done for them - that was the agreement, the floor would be perfect when they moved out). In any case, Shawn's brother is going to refinish our floor over the next weekend. All in all it's not going to take that much effort since all he has to do is re-sand the top layer, basically run over the top layer with sandpaper, tack cloth the floor (which is the most horrible step) and then put the sealer on there. I think we are going to need a couple of coats of sealer, but the floor should be good as new when they are done. (Good as new except for a gouge in the floor of the master bedroom - be heck, those can be filled with a bit of wood filler).
Needless to say, I am extremely happy that Shawn and I will finally have a place that we can call our own. We will finally have a house to ourselves, no renters! This is an exciting time for us and we simply can't wait. Until tomorrow.....

My dog is a multitakser
That's right - she does two things at once. Where other dogs can simply eat, drink and poop - mine can do multiple things at once. Tess Monster's joy in life is going outside for walks. All you have to do is pull out her leash and her booty starts to wiggle all around. It's not simply a tail wag, it's a full on booty wag. Half of her body moves from side to side and she gets really excited at the site of the leash. While on her walks she sniffs around like every other dog in the world - but it doesn't stop there. She is VERY choosy about where she poops. She won't simply go outside and go to the bathroom - she sniffs around for the exact right spot before she goes (which can take up to 5 minutes). And, when she finds the spot she squats and then sniffs more while she is going. As if that isn't enough, she does what Shawn and I call the "poop and scoot". While she is going, she will keep sniffing, and scoot around the area to maximize her new found sniffing opportunity. She does two things at once. I knew when I saw her picture on the internet that she was the dog for me. Not only does she save people from fires, she is a multitasker!
